Beautiful Crucible knob is an easy way to elevate any piece. I have it here replacing a signature gold tone stainless steel knob on my deep teal Dutch oven. The knob feels substantial and makes it easier to grip the lid. I have attached photos comparing the before-after. Beef stew was my first recipe in my new braiser. I made one-half of a recipe which called for 2 lbs of beef, with reduced amounts of vegetables. The braiser was about one-half full and resulted in five cups of stew. The pan heated rapidly on a ceramic stovetop. I did have a little trouble regulating temperature down to simmer from medium high heat, but I think I just need more practice. The beef turned out very tender, and the veggies cooked to perfection. I do think the domed stainless steel lid is a little lightweight, but it performed well in keeping moisture in. In two hours cooking time, I never needed to add water.
