The Volterra chandelier juxtaposes modern technology of LED light guide with a soft stone used throughout history. As a sculptor, designer Paul Marr Hilliard is attracted to natural materials. "Soft, subdued light with the translucent alabaster creates a warm glow. It's a beautiful stone to work with." We contrast that with an angular cut to the stone and have lit it each from both sides, creating a stunning wash of up and downlight.

Tom Caldwell undertook the challenge of creating a clean-lined version of a vintage design when he meticulously conceived a Magnum Opus grande chandelier. The rows of glass leaves attached to the three-tier arcing metal stem effervesce with light, creating a stunning sculptural fixture. The white glass also beautifully contrasts the metal in a brass finish, the cool/warm contrast bringing the gold chandelier a heightened level of texture. The beautiful white glass leaves also surround the seven bulbs on this fixture to add extra texture and nuance. This is a grandly scaled chandelier at 54 inches in diameter.
