Because this houseplant can tolerate low light, it excels in office cubicles. First discovered in eastern Africa in the 1800s, it wasn't until recently that it became super popular. Recent studies prove that keeping plants in your office space makes you more productive. ZZ plant houseplant is shipped in a 6-inch decor pot. The NASA clean air study concluded that houseplants promote better air quality in your home. The study by NASA found that houseplants actively remove chemical pollutants from the air. This low-maintenance houseplant requires little care and looks great for years! It is tolerant of a wide range of light conditions, including low light. Unlike most other plants, the ZZ plant doesn't need natural light -- it'll thrive indoors under fluorescent lights, such as those in office buildings. ZZ plant naturally thrives in low humidity and periods of drought. It's best to water when the top inch or so of the soil dries. It hates overly moist or soggy soil. Fertilize it once every six months or so with a general-purpose fertilizer labeled for use on houseplants. Re-pot your ZZ plant if it becomes root-bound.
