I bought this griddle to replace one which had seen better days. After searching online, I found this little gem at Perigold. It's most similar to the Calphalon griddle that I'm replacing and the price was the best I found online by about $10! The only downside to my purchase was that the box it was hipped in was smashed by the time it arrive here and had been heavily taped somewhere along the line to hold it together.. Randy. Tucson, AZ. The enameled cast iron plancha looks beautiful and performs just as good as it looks. The first day I got the plancha, I made grilled cheese sandwiches. Use the raised-rib side to perfectly sear meat and vegetables, and the smooth, flat side for morning pancakes! High quality cast iron distributes heat evenly, while a slight slope allows for grease to move easily to the grease catch on rib side. Griddle comes pre-seasoned and ready to use, though it is recommended to always cook with a light layer of oil to prevent sticking. Clean with a stiff brush and hot water, towel dry, and repeat! Please note that this griddle is only able to be replaced on the middle burners on a 36" Range or Rangetop and the 2 middle burners on the 48" Range or Rangetops.
