This microwave has quickly become one of my favorite appliance purchases. The size is perfect—large enough to handle everyday needs, but still sleek enough to fit seamlessly into my kitchen island. What makes it stand out most is the design. The black stainless steel paired with the champagne bronze accents feels luxurious and unique. It coordinates beautifully with the rest of my kitchen suite: the ZLINE refrigerator in black and bronze, my 48” Thor by Gordon Ramsay range, and the Thor dishwasher. Even though the appliances are from slightly different brands, the gold fixtures tie everything together in a cohesive, high-end look.
I love that ZLINE included a black handle option in case I ever want to swap out the champagne bronze, although I honestly don’t see myself doing that since the brushed gold look is stunning. Installation was straightforward—it only required an outlet behind it, and I chose not to use a GFI outlet since the microwave is in my island without a sink nearby.
The main reason I selected this model is because it doubles as a convection oven. It’s incredibly convenient to have a second oven in the kitchen for holidays or entertaining. The broil feature works well for crisping food, though I do wish there was an air fry setting. Preheating takes about 15 minutes, which I find a little slow, but the cooking results are excellent. It doesn’t have the push-button drawer feature some microwaves include, but that’s one less part to break down the road.
