This a great piece. We purchased two for our restaurant. Here are some aspects to be aware: 1) it is flat-packed and requires assembly. The assembly isn't difficult, but will take come time and require some tools. 2) The electrical cord is on the right side when facing the unit. This means the outlet must be directly behind the unit or to the right side of the unit. This was a surprise to us. It would be better if the cord could be relocated to either side of the insert. It’s actually STUNNING. I shopped around for about a month to try and find the perfect electric fireplace to put in our front room. I wanted it to be sleek and modern, but have some character and charm well also functional and not looking or sounding like a cheap electric fireplace. I wanted something that elevated our space but was also functional. This does absolutely that. I put it together myself and I’m two months postpartum just to give some context so it was relatively easy and a one person job. I just took my time and made sure to line everything up and follow the directions. It’s heavy but movable. It works like a charm and has a ton of different heat functions and light functions in a timer which I love. The only thing I’m not obsessed with is the crackle sound. I thought it would sound a little bit more realistic, so I don’t think I’ll be using that but it’s fine. It elevated the space so perfectly. I was hesitant about spending this much on an electric fireplace, but I think that going with the higher quality one  over any others that I found or trying to save on price was the right thing to do. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This beautiful electric fireplace will be the main focal point in any room! Everything came in 3 big boxes. The stone parts came in one box, the mantle piece in another, and the heating element/fireplace in the third. It was so easy to setup! The entire unboxing, putting it together and cleanup took just about 1 hour. I do recommend a second person to help with setup because it is a big fireplace over 5 feet wide and 4 feet tall. The fireplace comes with a remote control and you can change the color of the fire, the intensity of the heat, the brightness of the flame and it turns on and off with the push of a button. You can also use the fireplace without the heater turned on if you just want to enjoy the ambience of the fireplace. IIt is recommended for use in 120 volt 3-prong outlets. I was able to put together during the snow storm. Insert came last but I did need assistance and a power drill to get the screws put in. One was missing but I had one that worked.
