The fixture emits downward-directed light. The angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimize light distribution. The shade is painted white on the inside to ensure a soft comfortable light.

The Elizabethan shade recreates Louis Comfort Tiffany's original pattern inspired by stained glass used in castles and cathedrals during the reign of Elizabeth I, of England. These motifs, also used in German and Flemish ornamentation, complement a fanciful interlaced mosaic design of Moss Green, Cobalt Blue, and Amber glass accented with Amethyst jewels and banded with mottled Violet art glass. The floor lamp base features a Mahogany Bronze hand-applied finish.

A modern take on the classic floor lamp, with a resin bowl shade, and hundreds of intricate white crystal drops.

Though the overall effect and design of the lamp is stunning, I was disappointed on the quality - it may have been just the particular lamp that I received, but the finish on the base was yellowed and the screws provided to attach the heavy metal dome top to the plate that holds the heavy crystals were a bit rusty. The shade was a bit crooked as it wouldn't sit flush , so I had to shim it a bit to level it. I recommend having 2 people put it together. The lamp is heavy and once in place, you aren't going to want to move it much to avoid possibly damaging the crystals which are really lovely. The on off foot control works well. White cloth covered cord is a nice detail. Despite the condition issues with this particular lamp, it will be a gorgeous accent in the clients living room.. Barbara. Minneapolis, MN. Sat Aug 17 2019
