Though the overall effect and design of the lamp is stunning, I was disappointed on the quality - it may have been just the particular lamp that I received, but the finish on the base was yellowed and the screws provided to attach the heavy metal dome top to the plate that holds the heavy crystals were a bit rusty. The shade was a bit crooked as it wouldn't sit flush , so I had to shim it a bit to level it. I recommend having 2 people put it together. The lamp is heavy and once in place, you aren't going to want to move it much to avoid possibly damaging the crystals which are really lovely. The on off foot control works well. White cloth covered cord is a nice detail. Despite the condition issues with this particular lamp, it will be a gorgeous accent in the clients living room.
