After an exhaustive search we found this perfect ZLINE microwave to put in the corner of our new kitchen next to the pantry. This is an OTR model but it can be mounted as we did. It convenient yet out of the way, not taking up counters pace. We didn't care for the microwave in a drawer, so this was the fix. The tubular handle matched other appliances. My only thought was I wished the handle matched. For some reason it's shiny chrome on a stainless trimmed front? You don't notice as it's in the corner, but we did wonder. We are extremely happy with our latest kitchen addition with our new GE Profile Over-The-Range Microwave that replaced our old & battle tested GE Microwave. The door feels very solid and the installation of the unit was quick and easy, also feeling very solid with zero "wiggle" when opening. Capacity is excellent and honestly the biggest challenge, through no fault of GE, is getting used to the new controls and options that are available with this updated Microwave. Like anything it takes a little getting used to as we had our previous one for 5+ years (inherited when we bought the house). After reading the product description, we purchased this unit to not only replace our microwave, but also our counter top air fryer to free up space. The microwave works amazingly! I was skeptical of the sensor function, but it reheated some pizza to absolute perfection. Other typical things like instant oatmeal or frozen burritos worked like a charm. The air fryer has been a perfect substitute so far and we love the extra space! It came with all the accessories needed, and has had no issues so far. As a convection oven, we baked some cookies with no problem while we made dinner in the oven, saved tons of time and they were fresh right after dinner. Haven't used the sous vide function yet, but I'm planning on it soon. I understand some hesitancy over the price. But honestly it has added so much convenience that it has been worth it. I purchased this microwave as we wanted to purchase all ZLINE products for our kitchen as well as receiving the microwave earlier to have it install for our stone fabricator to get precise templates made for our kitchen quartz backsplash around the microwave area and countertops, etc. They installed stone yesterday afternoon. Our kitchen is a work in progress. We are under construction currently and have no electrical or plumbing turned on anywhere and not everything is hooked up yet. We have approximately one months and a couple of weeks left of construction for our interior to be completed. I love the style and the interior of the microwave. We have five small surface scratches as you open the interior door, they are located on the bottom stainless steel panel below the interior opening. Upon delivery the microwave sat in the box for two weeks before installation. Once installed we noticed the interior scratches while watching them install. When the door is shut, you cannot visibly see this. Not the best outcome. Once the construction is completed I will be able to test for functionality. I can update my review at that time. We look forward to our Autograph Edition S/S with Champagne Bronze induction range and counter depth fridge being installed in the future once our flooring is installed. Happy with this microwave so far, it has great features for cooking and reheating, love the auto sensor features. The light and fan go on automatically when I turn on my GE cooktop, this is a pretty cool high-end feature usually found in Bosch range/hood combinations. Chef Connect feature makes syncing super easy never had issues with it even after power outages. We have our microwave vented to outside and it's very powerful!
