Old GE microwave had a touch pad and were able to input 1-15 sec time. New microwave has a dial and only able to start at 15 sec. Inside is deeper under the turn plate making it harder to clean. the vents on top above door are exposed which will over time create an issue to clean out. Old microwave had a swinging door that closed when not in use. One would thing that all GE microwaves would have same hanging brackets and hole patterns. This was completely different making installation longer to do. You would think they were smart enough to do this to encourage buying another GE microwave. Have to get use to the turn knob on this unit. The capacity is quite large not sure if I will need all space? I hope to get use to the turn knob and the way to input time. Time will tell. Hope this lasts as many years as old GE microwave did 27 years and it still works. Wife wanted new one :(

The control panel does not light up making it a real pain for early morning warming or any time after dark.

We don't care for the "dial" time selection. Also, the touch functions are a little wonky. We have other Profile appliances and expected more.

I’m tired of GE and their plastic handles! You make an over the range microwave knowing that over the range cooktops will have heat rising. You have a plastic handle that essentially gets damaged without a doubt overt time and when I say overt time, I’m talking about within a year. This is my second microwave with that dumb handle that has a plastic coating that looks like stainless steel. It starts to crinkle, it starts to peel, and before you know it, the white plastic handle starts to appear almost like skin being peeled off of bones. Whack design, and they have not done anything about it and it’s something they are well aware of. If you want to replace the handle, you have to buy the entire door - really?
