There is no safer and better way to cook than a set of pans like these. You never have to worry about getting cancer with these. I have bought the most expensive, highly rated no stick pans and after a few years use, they ALL started to peal and scratch, even using the proper tools. These pans I treat like my cast iron pans of over 30 yrs. old. The first time I used them, I cleaned like my cast iron. It took about 8 uses but after that, the eggs slip right out. I never use soap on them, just a stainless steel scrubber with some salt and oil and than put a light coat of oil on them before I put away. If there is burnt on food, I put some water in them and let them sit while I eat and all I need to get the cooked on food off, is my stainless steel scrubber and they clean just as well as any non stick. The Demeyere Belgian Steel Frying Pan is an excellent cooking utensil. The handle is long and stays cool so handling the pan is easy and safe. I do use coconut oil for frying eggs at middle stove temperatures with great results and a Silicon spatula to preserve the stainless steel surface. We really like our new fry pan. It is the nicest non-stick fry pan we have ever owned. We can cook long pieces of bacon along with eggs and potatoes at the same time. I absolutely love this stone pot. Its non stick and my Jamaican oxtail stew came out delicious! I love the shape and how heavy it is. However it is a little too wide for my burner and the has more heat in the middle than the outer rim when cooking. I had to keep checkingadjusting it too make sure it was seated on the burner perfectly yet my stew came out amazing! So far so good! The pan is labeled as non stick but I didn’t know how true that would be given that it’s made of metal. However, it’s maiden use was cooking a ton of peppers and onions down for fajitas. I did use some oil but not as much as I expected to need to. It worked great! Clean up was a breeze. As for other reviewers saying that the handles remained cool to touch, that was not my experience and I definitely needed hot pads to maneuver. Being that they’re also metal, that was not my expectation that they would remain cool but I thought I would clarify given other comments. We went with the big one, the 12.5” and ours holds up to 6L per the dash marks. Only disadvantage is that it doesn’t come with a lid.
