One look at the Swoop Large Sculpture and it’s clear that creating drama with wood is in the Phillips Collection DNA. Uneven bands of wood are curved and wrapped around each other in an asymmetrical design that creates a powerful carved wood sculpture. We’ve placed the spooning slats on a minimal black metal base to keep the overall lines of the decorative accessory clean. We also offer the Swoop in a smaller-sized tabletop sculpture and as a piece of wall art, each of which reflects the ethos that Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic.

The clean lines of the sitting figure sculpture make this slim decorative sculpture a perfect accent piece for contemporary, modern farmhouses, and mid-century modern interiors. The black figures extending from the black base on this sculpture, which support the organically shaped wood artifact, have as weighty a job as the mythical hero. With this sculpture, we’ve taken a piece of chamcha wood that would have been one of Nature’s castaways and made it into an elemental design statement. Given with the minimal feel of this composition, the overall style is fitting for a number of interiors, including contemporary, modern farmhouse, and industrial chic.
