This piece is a much lighter color in person, almost like unfinished wood, which makes it look kind of cheap. I am going to gold leaf the inside and apply dark wax to the outside because the shape really works for my needs.

the wood is a light lighter than the picture and the black coated base was chipped in couple of spots.

My leaf is truly beautiful and a work of art. I shop a lot at gallery’s and this piece fits right in.
