Austin Beiv grew up on the tough streets of Brooklyn, where the expression of oneself was usually done through wall tagging—or as they say in Italian, "graffito." He was influenced by many different artists, particularly Fernando Carlo, who was well known for his expressive graffiti. This childhood influence is where the edgy, contemporary look comes from in his artwork. After graduating from Pratt Institute in the early ’90s, Austin now travels all over America looking for inspiration, whether it’s a tagged wall or an art museum, embracing all the unique and expressive simplicities life offers.

Ann was born in Enid, Oklahoma, and educated at the University of Oklahoma, with a degree in Interior Design. She moved to San Diego in 1984, where she lives today with her husband and three children. While her artistic impression was constant throughout her life, her recent foray into the art world was developed over the past 15 years working as a volunteer art teacher for school children at the elementary level. During this time she also worked as the prop, costume, and backdrop designer for the elementary school’s performances and directed the art and talent shows for many years. Now coming full circle, Ann is once again involved in instructing new and aspiring artists on her painting methods. In her commitment to being a green artist, Ann is able to create unique paintings by using recycled materials, finding items of interest in her environment, and using every drop of paint to add dimension to her paintings.

Sara Brown was born in Oakland, California in 1990 to an underprivileged family but was fortunate enough to grow up with a loving, happy family. Although she did not grow up with much, her family always encouraged and supported her to follow her dream to be an artist. This painting is spectacular! I'm so happy with it. It's the perfect mix of grays and blues that I was looking for. I was very hesitant to buy artwork without actually seeing it, but I can say that the delivered product looks exactly as the image on the Perigold site. Since 1994, artist Barclay Butera has been the creative force behind his eponymous design firm and showroom in Newport Beach, California. His success in Newport prompted Butera to establish showrooms in Hollywood, California, and Park City, Utah. Butera is renowned for his approachable elegance and glamorous, West Coast-chic interiors. Barclay Butera’s inspirations are drawn from a diverse range of grand architecture from coast to coast, European and Far Eastern influences, high-fashion runways, and his far-flung world travels. But he readily credits old Hollywood and West Palm Beach as among his greatest muses.

I ordered the Image Knife Giclee finish, which turned out to be very heavily textured and very glossy. It looks like plastic, which makes it pretty obvious that its a fake representation of an original.
