This clock took my breath away when I opened the box...unlike so many things these days it's made of solid wood (I haven't wound it yet...as it's a Christmas gift to myself...have to wait). The craftsmanship is old-world and the heft bespeaks its quality. What a great price to boot. I'm an antiques lover but wanted to invest in a newer clock as it's so expensive getting old clocks tuned and/or fixed. This clock fits right in to my ca. 1924 Colonial Revival interior.
