This clock has a beautiful chrome finish that will go well with modern houses.

The floor clock is very pretty but it arrived with the base broken off the vertical part of the clock. The design for the attachment of the clock to its base is very poor, being way too small to hold the heavy clock to only a very small part of the base. In addition, the base was secured to the clock with only about 9 brad nails; they were all twisted and bent when we opened the package and saw the base and clock had separated.. Annette. For those who are living small I would suggest this 77.25" Howard Miller grandfather clock. The clock is electric so I don't have to continually wind the clock. I'm amending my review because the problems that I had with the clock were caused by me . After discussing the problem with the Wayfair Ridgeway representative , we determined that my lack of knowledge was the problem. I'm very happy with the clock. It's gorgeous. It keeps very good time and I love it. I'm extremely disappointed in this clock. I paid a lot of money for it to avoid buying a used clock that would be somebody else's headache. But this clock has turned into my own headache. I had a professional come and set it up. Ever since that day it has never kept time. Now here I am weeks into having it and my clock professional is just about ready to give up. For what I paid, I should have a decent clock that keeps time. Delivery as expected. I assembled the clock, but the light for inside was not hard wired to the box that goes to the outlet. Have to get a local clock repairman to fix it. Absolutely beautiful! My husband and I are so pleased with this purchase. The clock is wrapped nicely, even the sensitive inner parts. Delivery was on time and handled with care. The clock does need the weights and pendulum installed so be prepared to do that. The instructions are very detailed so it was a breeze.
