I did a ridiculous amount of research before buying these GreenPan GP5 pans, and I’m happy to say they were worth it. Eggs slide around like they’re on ice, food cooks evenly on my gas stove, and cleanup takes about 10 seconds. The real test? Someone in my house used a fork instead of a spatula and the pan survived without a meltdown. I just bought this so have only used it three times. I can say that the pan seems very sturdy, well made, does heat quickly as stated in the advertising, and so far nothing sticks (fried chicken & potatoes, pancakes, reheated food). I had purchased an 8-inch GreenPan from Wayfair previously. I recently fried tofu in that pan. Frying tofu in a stainless steel or cast iron pan was difficult because the tofu sticks too much. It was easy in the GreenPan, and cleanup was no problem. I decided I needed a bigger GreenPan. The price for the 10-inch and 12-inch set was a bargain - just $20 more than the 12-inch pan along. We have a gas range, which seems to heat up most handles and utensils. With the GreenPan, the handle stays relatively cool. I have many types of pans as I am a very accomplished home cook. I appreciate good quality as well. I own All-Clad, Calphalon, Le Creusets and Staub etc. . I wanted a non stick skillet and read about the "GreenPan" . This model Valencia is a higher quality and price point but I like the durability of it. I was hoping to purchase the same model in a slightly larger size , but I can't seem to find it , so maybe Green Pan doesn't make it.. The pan is sturdy and the non-stick surface looks like it will last a while. I have used it to saute, fry and cook rice.
