The all-rounder: for mincing, chopping, or cutting meat, fish, fruit, and vegetables. The Chef's Knife is an active participant in many kitchen tasks, makes food prepping pleasurable, and is part of every professional and home cook’s basic equipment. The half bolster, the junction between handle and blade, reduces the weight of the knife, making it easier to handle. It also allows the entire blade to be sharpened more easily. CLASSIC IKON knives feature a distinctive, double bolster design for professional-style heft, exceptional balance and beauty. The handle is made of a highly durable synthetic material – Polyoxymethylene (POM) – which has a tighter molecular structure to resist fading and discoloration. The elegant shape of the handle is designed for a comfortable grip.

WÜSTHOF's extra-sharp blade with a plain edge: this knife not only does a good beef steak justice, but also cuts all other types of meat without tearing the fibers. It should therefore always be on the table when meat is on the menu.
We got a knife set for our wedding. They are noticeably GREAT knives. A few of the handles chipped after almost 20 years. Your warranty replaced the knives for us. Thank you. Also, the new knives have a slightly different handle. Same shape and color, just a different material. A better more comfortable material. Has a great hand feel. Good work! I have a lot of high- end knives and was debating on pulling the trigger on a Yani since I'm not a sushi chef or a pro but I've been mesmerized by this knife for a couple years. I'm so happy I got it, it's a work of art! I've used it to fillet a few fish I've caught and for slicing roasts and steaks, haven't noticed it " steering" me due to single bevel, it's so sharp and has perfect weight. Not a laser like a Yu so I've got more confidence if I'm cutting a rib roast or something with a bone-in. Beautiful work of functional art. Haven't had to sharpen yet but will definately do it myself, I'm confident in my ability to sharpen and not scratch it. It is one fine tool. BTW, it's not my most expensive knife. You only live once, may as well enjoy it.. Anthony Y.. Mon Feb 23 2026
