We have had it for only a few days and do not have any complaints but have a question. The instructions say not to use ROor distilled water. The city water here in College Station TX has a high sodium content consequently makes terrible coffee. We use RO water from a local supplier. We had the smaller unit and used this water. When we moved from GG(treated river water) we have been using the RO for about three years with no ill effects. The design and functionality is elegant, but why would you put a black cord on an all white coffee machine? It’s the only small appliance that sits on our white quartz countertop and the cord sticks out like a sore thumb! Coffee maker brews coffee quickly and tastes delicious. We also like the temperature control so we can enjoy a perfect warm cup of coffee without waiting for it to cool down. I would have given it a five star rating had it been better thought out with a white cord design. The CDG Pour-Over Coffee Brewer features a glass carafe and an automatic drip-stop brew-basket that stops the flow of coffee if the carafe is pulled away. It brews a full 40oz pot of coffee in six minutes. Coffee is then held on their unique hot plate; which is engineered with a separate, independent element that rolls heat into the coffee to ensure an even taste from the first cup to the last drop. The hot plate has two settings, giving you the choice to hold your coffee at 175° or 185° F, while never burning your coffee. After 100 minutes, the hot plate will automatically turn off.
