Reclaimed Wood Sculpture

Add character and dimension to your mantle, console or bookshelves with these found wood and iron sculptures. The reclaimed wood oval disc is mounted on an iron and wood base creating a unique and interesting art object.

Mother nature was out to beat the abstract expressionists at their own game when she conceived the abstract Wood Sculpture. We left the piece of natural wood alone except to level off the bottom so we could affix it steadily to the black base. It will be a conversation starter when introduced into a room because it's a strapping 64-inches tall. The fluidity of its shape and its contemporary vibe exemplifies the Phillips collection ethos of modern organic. This piece is crafted from natural solid wood. The color and character of wood grain may vary, adding a unique character to your piece.

Loveeee this! Amazing quality and the look is perfect for the area.. Charece. Staten Island, NY. Sat Feb 21 2026

Get the ‘fine art’ look without paying gallery prices. Sophisticated, ethnic, timeless. And sometimes with a touch of whimsy.

This 3-piece set of bird statues combines the bold look of stone with abstract carvings to create a curated, cool-casual look we love. Each statue features a piece of solid wood that's hand-carved by artisans. The clean-lined silhouette reminds us of old-fashioned whittled wood, and the two finish different choices let you set the tone. Each piece stands at three different heights and is supported on a curvy wire stand. For the base, you get to choose between jagged-edged rocks or dome-shaped natural wood bases – so the look and feel is totally up to you.

Really like the look of them and they could jive with several decorating styles. *They are tall! Make sure you measure for where you plan to put them.”. Russell. US. Wed Nov 06 2024

Erosion is a fascinating process in which wood and stone are broken down over time and relocated by the invisible hand of mother nature herself. When the wood begins to erode, it can develop into unbelievably captivating shapes that defy imagination. Phillips Collection erosion sculpture on the stand is a recreation of this natural phenomenon that demonstrates the unique forms wood can take when introduced to the elements. Constructed from teak wood in a bleached finish, the erosion sculpture is mounted to a matte black iron stand that gives this organic piece a splash of modern flair.

We achieve the deep tonal quality of the Black Wood Bisected Abstract Sculpture by charring the surface, then we carve textural indentations into the tall slender column. This version has straight ridges that extend from its minimalist metal base, while the top has a pattern similar to sun rays. We also offer a sculpture with slanting lines, one with angled lines, and one with linear striations, each of which exemplifies the Phillips Collection ethos of modern organic.

If you want a dramatic sculpture that can hold its own in almost any room, this is the piece. No two will be the same since these are made from roots and are 100% natural and hand-assembled. This is an art piece made by mother nature herself.

I absolutely love this sculpture. It’s truly unique and a beautiful piece. The only small note is that the color in the picture doesn’t fully match how it appears in person, so the photo could be a bit more accurate. That being said, I still really love the sculpture and appreciate how special and distinctive it is.. Rich. Fri Mar 06 2026

Holding a gnarled limb in its contemporary grasp, the sleek black iron stand balancing the Vine sculpture creates our favorite juxtaposition, combining modern and organic. We harvest the pieces of wood that end up on these sculptures from the jungles of Asia, using as many pieces of each tree we pull from the forest floor as possible. The Vine sculpture is proof that there is beauty to be made, even with elements most people would see as castaways.

Very interesting piece and works on my table.. Barbra. Naples, FL. Fri Nov 08 2024

The large teak wood ball is a natural wonder. We've taken gigantic pieces of root and honed them into a decorative sculpture that maintains its natural character due to the fissures that were eaten into its surface. As we shaped the teak wood into a ball, we brought a beautiful sheen to the finished piece and refined the character that only nature can achieve. Given the shape is decidedly contemporary, this wood ball reflects the modern organic ethos embraced.

Carefully selected end-cuts of teak wood are given new life in the teak wood sculpture. We do not change the wood from its original form when we source it. In fact, this illustrates how our stance at Phillips Collection is to use every piece of wood we find, even when others would view them as castaways. The fact that they are affixed to metal bases adds an additional natural element to the organic look, these sculptures have truly become works of art.
