Port 68
The Balinese peacock is a nineteenth-century archival French roller print. Decidedly a South Seas look, the Scalamandre pattern is rendered in exotic motifs of fruit, foliage, and peacocks with delicate batik-like details. Part of the Scalamandre' Maison by PORT 68 collection, the jars are made of porcelain with solid brass metal lift-off lids. Available in hues of pink, green, and turquoise/blueprints on cream white crackled porcelain.
Daum
From the Caribbean to Madagascar to Indonesia, leaves from bamboo, banana, and coconut trees are braided in the art of basket weaving. This ancestral practice requires only fresh leaves and excellent dexterity; its use is near ubiquitous for everyday items such as baskets, hats, fences, and decorations. Daum's creative studios explore this art form by adapting the basket weaving technique to sculpture. Natural fibers are braided and then reshaped into vases and bowls. Fronds of different plants criss-cross and blend fresh, green, and slender-forming vessels where one can showcase cut flowers or freshly-harvested fruits. For an added touch of lush, tropical flora native to the islands where basket-weaving is still common practice, yellow vanilla flowers adorn and perfect these beautiful pieces.

Our collection of wings vases is made by a group of elderly women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand. The black terracotta has a beautiful moss glazing covering it, the result of making the green vase feel as if it has been reclaimed from a sunken boat after having spent years in the deep sea. We have a number of shapes in the sunken boat family.

The Alkali vase features an alternating rugged, smooth textured surface in a forest stone (green) finish. The irregularity in the exterior gives this glass vessel a certain rustic charm with a hint of natural splendor. This tabletop accent serves both as a decorative anchor and as a functional storage component for your floral bouquets and branches. However, it looks just as stunning displayed barren. It`s constructed of quality, handblown glass, intended for long-time use. Elevate the look of your entryway, living room, or kitchen counter display with the addition of the Alkali vase.

Our Milione Vase is made by a group of elderly women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand. The black terracotta vase has white glazing and tiny green leaves, each applied by hand to the side of the vase. This white vase is truly an artisanal piece, as each leaf is hand-glazed with a very subtle green glazing.

The Imperial green long neck vase is a decorative green vase that has its roots far in the past. The Imperial label is apropos for the porcelain vase because this piece is made of clay sourced from the area surrounding the kilns that produced objects for the Imperial estate during the heyday of the dynasties. The formula to achieve the particular green on the surface of this vase is a secret one guarded by ceramicist families devoted to the single color. The glossy, rich green was originally produced exclusively for those in high society.
In honor of the 140th anniversary of Daum, the workshop wanted to draw inspiration from the influences of the past to reinterpret the Art Déco style of the 1930s through a new collection: "Empreinte." From glass to crystal to floral inspirations, Daum pays homage to its heritage through the use of "pâte de cristal" and the lost wax technique. The development of this collection came naturally, following a reinterpretation of the iconic mushroom lamp "Resonance," inspired by the Art Nouveau period. This collection includes three vases and two candleholders which echo the history and rich patrimony of Daum. A large emerald green, gilded vase captures light and shines as the major piece of the collection. Buttercups and plants sculpted into the material by the modeling workshop are transformed into a modern work of art, though created through a traditional craft. Two vases in a choice of deep blue or emerald green embody a new interpretation of the palette of colors created by Daum's artisans. For this anniversary, Daum embodies the history of the French decorative arts by creating a collection that boasts the aesthetic codes of Art Déco, imbued with a contemporary spirit.
