Looking for a huge sideboard to make a statement, this magnificent early 19th-century sideboard will do the job. The top of this Asian sideboard has everted ends, reminiscent of ancient Chinese architecture, and multi-stone pagodas. The top is made of one continuous wood instead of 3 individual sections. Two sides are flanked by 2 beautifully hand-carved dragon boards in rich dark brown. Six drawers line the top of the sideboard and below the drawers are three separate sections with a pair of paneled doors for each. Each section is divided by a single, removable shelf - one of an exceptional kind.

This lovely hand-painted sideboard buffet table was retrieved from Gansu and restored by a skilled craftsman. The painting on the door panels of this sideboard demonstrates the artisan’s commanding skill of shui-mo (水墨, "water and ink") also loosely termed watercolor or brush painting. With red square frames, the doors are transformed into a beautiful Chinese painting. The clear lacquer is applied to protect the painting and wood. It has 2 compartments with 2 shelves in each. The shelf is removable. Ample storage space as an entertainment center.
