Very pretty table although be aware that there are veneers and the table is made in China. The first table that was delivered to us had the veneer on one of the leaves bubbling up/chipping off. Perigold has amazing customer service and shipped out a new table right away and followed up multiple times. The second table arrived and tabletop was fine although part of the wood on the side/underneath was splintering off. We decided it was in a spot that wasn't very noticeable and didn't want to go thru the hassle of sending a second table back. Better than expected . I took a chance ordering online , sometimes the color isn’t accurate. This table was perfectly matched to a stone fireplace. I would call the color a taupe ash brown . Easily seats six comfortably and can possibly seat 8 depending on the chairs. The delivery went very smoothly. This table is GORGEOUS. I have included photos of my table extended with one leaf. I am able to slide 4 side chairs under the table on each side which allows you to see a lot of the table top and corner legs. The small detail above each table leg where it meets the table top is a nice modern detail, and the grainy-like wood pattern on the table top creates some character. I looked at over 1000 dining room tables and am glad I purchased this one. The gold trim at the bottom of each leg is attractive, and although I don't like decorating with gold, the gold color is subtle enough that it doesn't detract from the room. The table arrived in excellent condition. Place the table top upside down to attach the 4 legs - this is an easy job of one person. Two people will need to lift the table to upright it.
