Overpriced. Does NOT cool a room! Only bought this for the promised cooling. Does not!

It’s definitely much better than the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool Formaldehyde PH03, which I replaced a few months ago with this PH04 model. It works wonderfully!

I really enjoy everything about my Dyson, I have changed my filters but on my little screen it is showing a green check mark with a picture of the filters, how do I change it?

I bought this machine early April, after 2 weeks, the oscillator stopped working, I called customer care and was hung up. Then I got busy and called last week again, the lady tried troubleshooting and couldn’t fix it. And advised me to send in for repair. I don’t understand for a brand new machine need a repair? I would like a replacement for a brand new one not a refurbished one, but I don’t know who can I speak to.

Have owned serveral of these Dyson units over the past 5 years. They do markedly increase the humidification levels which is NICE. However, like most humidifiers, they demand distilled water or things will go downhill fast from a cleanliness standpoint. You CANNOT depend on the Dyson citric acid treatment to clean these machines after using normal tap water. It does an incomplete job at best. The purfication features work ok. You definitely have to run them at a high level than "AUTO" if you want to clear the dust from normal air. The sensors do not seem to detect dust, although they do ramp up the purifier fan when detecting harmful chemicals Finally, let's talk design, These do tend to break down in various ways after 2-3 years. Usually some electronic failure kills the units or they give weird error messages about missing water tanks, etc. The Dyson warranty on paper looks good but Dyson support is mediocre at best as it is outsourced to a firm in a non-America/European country and English is NOT their strong suit, and the support provided is them merely following a script where they tell you to do the same tasks over and over. Seems like the script is designed to avoid Dyson having to repair the unit. I RECOMMEND getting these from a 3rd party retailer, instead of Dyson directly, as the retailers have much better extended warranties, albeit at a cost. Finally, I would suggest that Dyson follow their previous brilliant design works, and come up with some kind of water disinfection system such as a UV light in the tank that prohibits mold growth. This is well known technology present in other devices, so Dyson is BEHIND in this area.

Seems to be good other than helping with allergies and second hand smoke thought would help with the tenant that smokes above my apartment

I've had this unit for about 3 weeks now. I felt the difference in the air in my home within an hour of starting up the unit. It is so wonderful to finally have the right level of humidity. The air has been so dry so far this winter and I just couldn't take it any more. The fact that the unit also purifies the air is another outstanding feature. The water tank is very easy to refill!

This was a new replacement (purchased with a discount) for one that was not ever working correctly. So far, fingers crossed this one works great!
