This table came with some scratches that are not very noticeable. The material is very shiny, smooth and the color is more golden than beige. The material looks very delicate and I had to put table mats to protect it. The reason I bought a big table was because I don't have a dining room. I needed something forgivable that I could use to eat at and put stuff down. This table looks more like a decoration. It is very sturdy and heavy, but as I said very delicate. I would like to return it, but we threw the box away. We were told we had 20 days to return it, but nobody told us it had to be in the original box. I read about it after we threw the box away.
