So pleased with this purchase! This is a very sturdy and well made bed. We have just set it up in our bedroom but haven't slept on it yet so can't comment on longevity. I'm very impressed with the construction and finish. We had it delivered when we were still remodeling so didn't get it assembled. It took 3 of us to put together as it's very heavy and large. If possible, I'd pay extra to have it set up in your room unless you have a few people on hand to carry the heavy boxes and spend a couple hours putting together. The instructions were confusing at times so thankfully my husband has a lot of construction experience and just figured it out on his own. Definitely get a box spring. We have a very thick mattress and it's way too low without a box spring.
