A charming heavyweight turns 70. With its open mouth and whimsical expression, the Hippo is a figurine you love at first sight. It’s almost too fun to be true, and it’s easy to understand why Kay Bojesen was inspired by one of the animal kingdom’s most original characters when he created his famous and beloved Hippo back in 1955. Unlike most of Kay Bojesen’s wooden animals, which are often seen in soft and round shapes, the Hippo is somewhat more angular in design with predominantly straight and even lines – yet it excels with a big and loving smile and lots of power and a twinkle in the eye. The Hippo has that unmistakable expression of care and harmony, almost as if the strong wooden figurine communicates, ‘trust me, I’ve got your back’. According to the archives, Kay Bojesen himself had a grey Hippo on his desk. And the round birthday is celebrated with two anniversary editions in FSC® certified beechwood painted in an exclusive grey color – a true hippo color – with the large mouth painted pink. Whether you choose this anniversary version at 9 cm in height or the slightly smaller Liliput version at 6 cm, you get handcrafted quality in a beloved playful and timeless design, where the Hippos with their friendly expression, round eyes, and long strong form will add a touch of coziness and warmth to any room. Use them, for example, as small, surprising design elements in the home, peeking out where you least expect it. The two grey Hippos are only produced in 2025 and will therefore also be perfect as a unique gift for christenings, birthdays, graduations, weddings – or major anniversaries.

A colourful original in a design that is both nostalgic and innovative. Kay Bojesen's iconic monkey is a well-known and much-loved figurine that brings a smile to people of all ages. And the mini monkey in beech wood painted in original colours from the archives is only going to make that smile bigger. The bright mini version is inspired by colours from an original wallpaper designed by Kay Bojesen in the late 1940s for the children's room. And you get a clear sense of originality and retro vibes in these dusty shades, which beautifully accentuate the cool tone of the beech wood. the monkey in vintage blue measures 9.5 cm in height and is made of FSC certified beech wood, which adorns the hands and feet, face and tummy and gives the new mini monkey a cheerful and youthful air. The painted mini monkeys sparkle with joy and ingenuity. With beauty and confidence, they bring Kay Bojesen's original stories made of wood into a new context. Yet the monkeys remain iconic thanks to the classic colours from Kay Bojesen's original designs. As such, the mini monkey makes the ideal fun accessory in a modern decor, where its quirky and colourful exterior will bring both style and a smile wherever you put it. A must-have for the design lover who has everything. Or for all those of us who can't get enough of Kay Bojesen's monkeys and their cosy company.

A nostalgic and innovative mood booster. The mini monkey in light green exudes joy with its stylish, trendy look, where the bold color beautifully complements the cool expression of the beechwood, highlighting the wood's natural beauty. The light green celebrates the lushness of nature and the blooming spring, evoking shades of apple green and fresh leaves. The monkey stands at 3.7" tall and is made from FSC® certified beechwood, with detailed features on the hands, feet, face, and belly, giving the mini monkey a cheeky and youthful vibe. The use of color makes this Monkey a perfect playful addition to any modern interior, where it will bring smiles and style with its quirky, colorful appearance, no matter where it’s placed. The colorful mini monkeys make an aesthetic statement that elegantly highlights the Monkey’s round shapes and emphasizes Kay Bojesen’s signature graphic and simple design.

To celebrate your life events, a reminder of all the happy moments in everyday life, and the special bond between parents and children. With the pair of Liv & Lykke birds in the iconic Kay Bojesen design, the wings spread out for all who care for and cherish each other. The bird pair is made from FSC® certified beechwood and consists of one large and one small bird, which you can choose to use together or separately to express your unique story, exactly where you are in your life. The large bird comes in a subdued dark green and, at 10 cm in height, is slightly smaller than the others in Kay Bojesen’s popular series of songbirds, while the small bird at 6 cm, with a body in a warmer green-yellow, is the same size – and just as cute – as the birds you know from the Kay Bojesen mobile in the Babies series with birds and balls in wood painted in various colors. To mark the inherent connection of the bird pair, the heads of both Liv & Lykke birds are painted in the same beige color and with identical white beaks. A symbol that whether they are close together or apart, they will always look after each other. Liv & Lykke is shaped by love, hope, and care – and a deeply rooted tribute to life itself. No matter what story you tell, Liv & Lykke adds a new loving chapter to the history of Danish design and Kay Bojesen’s original stories made of wood. For example, let both birds stand together in the bedroom during the child’s very first months as a nest of happiness as fine as the softest feathers, and then let the large bird fly with the little child into the nursery – or vice versa. And later in life, you can give the now grown child the small bird to take to boarding school or on a trip abroad and keep the large bird at home as a beautiful and life-giving symbol of everlasting connections, unconditional love, and hope for a happy future for a young person. As this special dualistic design icon, the Liv & Lykke bird pair will also be the perfect gift for the new big sister or brother or as a loving greeting between two friends, symbolizing life’s big and small moments, a focus on togetherness and happy times together. With their elegant and universal green colors, the Liv & Lykke pair will stand as an evergreen bouquet in bird form, fitting perfectly into any home. And just as the Liv & Lykke name naturally exudes life happiness and familial connection, the colors are also full of symbolism. Green is, of course, the color of hope and symbolizes the very fertility, life, and budding hope of happiness that embraces life’s small and large miracles. The green plumage and warm yellow hues give Liv & Lykke a balanced and harmonious look that will create a nest of life and happiness wherever they are placed.

Kay Bojesen designed these two happy skiers towards the end of the 1940s. The happy girl skier with the red cheeks and big smile is called Datti, which was the pet-name of Kay Bojesen's daughter-in-law Ruth (married to Otto). The name of the male skier, boje, was the pet-name of Bojesen's son Otto. The original wooden figures are very rare, as they were only produced in small series. With their cheerful expressions, this pair of skiers always make people smile, and they are all set to conquer Danish living rooms and homes again in this relaunch. Both skiers are made of painted beech in the same way as the Royal Guardsman. The skiers stand 6.1" tall.

Welcome the Year Bird 2025… Bella! Kay Bojesen did the design, you chose the colors. With her atmospheric dark grey beak in beautiful harmony with the characteristic songbird head in a warm light grey, the discreet creamy yellow plumage on the body, and legs in a deep dark green, Bella exudes a very special calm and subtle panna cotta-like elegance that simultaneously brings forth a delicate and robust classic elegance – an icon in Danish design that will fit perfectly anywhere in the home. Naturally, the Year Bird 2025 is finished and painted with great precision and skill, just like all Kay Bojesen’s other figurines. Unique to the year birds, however, is that each has its own year engraved on the tail feather, and this also applies to this year’s splendid example, Bella.

Kay Bojesen designed Rattle, the first classic children's toy, in its original version in 1932. The rattle's dimensions make it easy for small hands to hold, while the ball in the middle of the rattle can move backwards and forwards, spinning around to delight the infant. The rattle is made of unpainted wood, because Kay Bojesen believed that this leaves more room for the imagination. An appealing gift idea for a christening, or as a parental leave present for anyone who appreciates authentic Danish design. The rattle is also a delightful design object for the bookshelf, and without a doubt will accompany the child on his or her journey into adulthood.

Two of the most iconic milestones in Danish design history have joined forces to celebrate the smiling lines and cheerful stripes each of them has contributed to Danish design. The famous Kay Bojesen monkey was created back in 1951 when Kay Bojesen wanted to make a coat hook at child's height so his children could reach their clothes. Instead, he ended up making a world-renowned Danish design icon. Now the iconic monkey has got its own set of clothes. And what better suits a Danish design icon than another Danish design icon? The small Kay Bojesen monkey x Norgaard paa Stroget is made from FSC certified teak and limba, measuring 18.5 cm in height. You can get monkey with the beautiful painted Norgaard on Stroget #101 T-shirt in either this white with black stripes or black with white stripes. Both colours feature the well-known red neckline, which you can only find on #101 T-shirts in this exclusive Norgaard paa Stroget version in the store on Amagertorv in Copenhagen. Kay Bojesen is synonymous with original Danish design. And the collaboration with Mads Norgaard unites the love of durable and long-lasting products, while adding the playfulness and quirky quality that Kay Bojesen loved to add to his designs to spark the imagination and create original stories made of wood. The iconic monkey in new clothes is a fun and unpretentious celebration of both design icons, where with a twinkle in the eye we come together to pay tribute to the humour and smiling lines with colours and stripes that go far back in Danish design history. Variations may occur in the stripes, but that is only because each monkey has its own unique personality. This is because the stripes are carefully applied to each monkey x Norgaard pa Stroget through a handheld process.
