Used in the preparation of the Indian flatbread known as "chipatti", these wooden bowls are what remain of the ancient tradition of creating family-owned utensils in-house. Carved from single pieces of wood, these vintage re-purposed utensils are unique and beautifully patinated with no two being exactly alike.
Crafted by Portuguese artisans, the Ribbed Charger is made of slip-molded ceramic with a deep garnet finish. Each stripe is hand-painted with a reactive glaze creating ochre-colored highlights when fired in a kiln.
Their wave platter is inspired by the continuous motion of the tides in the ocean. Handcrafted by artisans in Italy.

Due to the handcrafted nature of this product, some of the glass fragments may come loose from this product in shipping. This is natural and to be expected since these fragments are hand applied before being fired into the glaze.

Italian glass artisans on the island of Murano form these one-of-a-kind art glass items utilizing a centrifuge process that spins molten glass in large copper bowls of various sizes. The shapes are formed after the glass stops spinning and the artisans begin to shape, mold, cut, and reheat the glass into the shapes you see here. After a long annealing process, the glass is cool, stable, and able to be packed and prepared to ship. No two pieces will be the same.
