This door really elevates my fiberglass shower insert. I’m glad I had some professionals to install it. Beware it is tempered glass so please use foam to rest it on while installing because my contractor had set it on the tile and one of the panels shattered. So they had to order a replacement from Kohler and when it got here, the manufacturer had sent out clear glass instead of the frosted, so I’m using this this matched in the meantime while we wait for another replacement. You can’t go wrong with Kohler. Perhaps a little high on the price point but the quality of the product makes it worth it,, looks fabulous and is the perfect completion for my shower renovation. We've been looking everywhere for a glass door shower door less than 70' but taller than 65'. We nearly cried when the only choice we could get was custom size the doors which would have cost us over $1300! (Home Depot & Lowe's). I kept plugging away and found this at Wayfair at the size we were desperately looking for at less than $400!! The directions weren't all that clear but using the directions they provided and the youtube.com instructions for glass shower doors installation enabled us to install this without too much trouble. I needed a shower door that was tall enough for my 6‘3“ husband to step through without ducking his head. Quite a few of these frameless showers have a top bar which is too short. This one happened to be tall enough and had thicker glass with the clean coat technology. The price was almost half the price of a custom glass shower door system, and the quality was identical. This door is so popular at our house, it's almost a tourist attraction. We wanted a new shower door to give maximum room for getting in and out of the shower. We wanted the room to look open and light. We didn't want to see big metal frames and hinges. This amazing door does it all. The design is really clever, and construction is rugged. Hinge pins, at top and bottom, enable the door to pivot on the edge of a narrow glass side panel. When closed, the hinged edge of the door rests behind the side panel. Measure the opening carefully and make sure you order your door in the correct size. Each size has a few inches of "play" so you can adjust width precisely to the opening. Before finding this Kohler door at Wayfair, I priced doors with similar qualities (maximum opening, "invisible" hardware, great appearance) at the local glass place and online. The quality of the materials are probably fine, only time will tell. The instructions are worse than useless. If you were to follow them as written you would not be able to complete the installation, as you would have permanently attached parts with silicone caulking in an arbitrary location several steps before knowing the necessary precise location. The finish on the hinges was pitted when I took them out of the box. The hinge covers are flimsy and dent and crease when you press them into place.
