J165 is an elegant and stylish take on a high stool with distinctively clean lines and a round, comfortable paper cord seat. It is unusual to see a woven seat on this silhouette, but with an expression similar to other Danish dining chair classics, this high-chair clearly writes itself into that design tradition. A classic Jørgen Bækmark design with a highly contemporary functionality, J165 comes in different versions and was released to celebrate Bækmark's 90th birthday.

Primitive inspiration leads to a hand-crafted look. Antique brass iron is hand-wrought for rich, rough texture that offsets stool's slender form. Perfect paired or in multiples.

Love the stool. Very sturdy and not likely to tip over but not so heavy you can’t move. Good feet for tile. Not wobbly. 4 stars instead of 5 as it looks more like painted bronze than antiqued brass. A nice heavy weight stool that stays in place without the feel of tipping. The beautiful stone top is comfortable due to the form of the seat. Very well made and easily tucks under a bar. The adjustable feet were very helpful in leveling the stool to our tile floor.
