Just what we needed for a way better price than we found elsewhere. Heavy cast iron construction. Covers an 8x10 hole perfectly with a 1in lip on all sides for a 10x12 total cover size. Be aware that the part around the hole sticks up about a 1/4in from the floor surface.

This goes perfect in my home that was built in 1913!! Love it!

These are sturdy and well made. The powder coating finish is well done. They are a bit raised off the floor when installed, and can present a toe-stubbing opportunity, but on our light stained floor finish they are noticeable and avoidable. I am very pleased with the quality, I bought two to cover old flue holes in floors.
