Quality befitting Bunny Williams--a top-10 interior designer (still! coming from a 73-yr old ret. one). I was even fooled thinking the sample was wool. Purchased navy Samson (2) for my kitchen. Pricey but worth it. I have carefully machine washed 2 other Dash & Albert P.E.T rugs over several years and they are looking great--use a commercial model.. Lois. In the latest capsule collection, Annie's friend and collaborator Bunny Williams was inspired by the unique geometric Kuba weaving of central Africa. The sacred Kuba designs are mathematical and rhythmic in vegetable-dyed earth tones and evolved from a number of techniques featuring flat weaving and cut pile, with patchwork, embroidery, and appliqué. The Cassia dhurrie weave rug has a balanced block motif woven onto alternating rectangles. Hard-working jute fiber is sophisticated and practical, especially for high-traffic areas.

Inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and his Prairie School of Architecture, this rug is designed to resemble a stained-glass window. Wright considered his stained glass to be an abstract of nature that allowed light in to illuminate and enhance a room. Our Prairie rug is hand-knotted by Nepalese weavers using wool from Himalayan Highland sheep.
