The fountain is beautiful. We think of it as a modern classic, and we frequently receive compliments from neighbors and guests. The one drawback was that there were a few scratches when we received it. Be sure you have at least two people to move the two pieces around. The total weight is well over three hundred pounds. I love, love this fountain! The bases are wide and don't topple when, for example, a cat or squirrel jumps on. The 3 tiers are not physically attached, so there is a lot of freedom in how you can arrange them (you'll need help moving the lowest basin, but an adult male can handle the other pieces alone). Most pedestal fountains have a rubber gasket sealing the hole where the pump cord goes, but this has a hidden tube above the waterline to pass the power cord through, so no seal is needed. This made it easy for me to replace the pump with a solar-powered one. I am not a fan of resin, and I really appreciate the "real" look of the stone. It is suggested that this fountain top is not left outside in the winter. Once the top fills with water and snow and freezes, the top may crack. All fountain bases should be raised up off the ground in winter so they will not freeze to the ground surface. Ideally, a fountain should be stored indoors in the winter away from the elements. However, if a fountain bowl must be left outside, remove all pumps, rubber stoppers, drain pipes, finials, and small components, cover the top with burlap or any absorbent material, and then wrapped with dark plastic, making sure that water does not accumulate in the basin and freeze. Fountain pumps, finials, and other small components should be stored indoors. Check the fountain periodically to ensure that the cover is secure and water is not accumulating in any fountain component.

I like it. Its burble is relaxing to listen to. Color-wise, it’s not quite what I expected. It’s lighter. Perhaps it will darken with age. Though it wasn’t hard to assemble, the instructions could have been clearer. On the plus side, the pump’s flow is adjustable and the light can be unplugged without affecting the pump. The Beauvais fountain is a beautiful piece, exactly as depicted. Perigold was very helpful in coordinating the delivery and what to expect. The assembly instructions from the manufacturer (Campania International), left a lot to be desired… but I was able to email them for clarification on what the completed assembly of the copper tubing In the upper urn should look like after following the vague instructions. Also, they left out a needed stopper in the shipment. Without this piece, the fountain would not hold water. There was no mention of this extra stopper in the assembly instruction's, but I was able to call Perigold and Campania international to report the issue, and they sent the stopper. Actually, this stopper allows draining, cleaning, and refilling the fountain an easy task… but again no mention of that… which should be a great a great selling point. So, the service up to that point was great. 4 days later, I emailed the manufacturer about an issue where the pump was tripping the GFCI outlet. They were not as helpful with the trouble shooting. I managed to figure out and resolve the problem myself, which turned out to be the plug attached to a timer was getting wet. I had to encase that connection in a plastic bag, and the problem was resolved… but it would have been nice for them to help with the trouble shooting. This last experience makes me question what kind of support I will get going forward. So far, I do love the fountain and have no regrets about purchasing. It is cute as can be BUT the tubing does not line up with the hole in the metal for the pump.. Day 2 joints of the puppy are turning yellow.. it makes a major mess as it leaks all over the place.. There are no instructions on how to fix the water issue when the puppy is gasping for water. ( figured how to move the bottom of the mouth to make a constant stream). I really liked this fountain. It looks great in our space. The top sits on three ceramic ears that protrude from the lip, and one of them was broken when it arrived. This Del Rey fountain replicates the look of lead, iron, and concrete but is up to eighty percent lighter than traditional materials. Campania International suggests that fountain tops not be left outside in the winter. Once the top fills with water/snow and freezes, the top may crack.

The base is quite heavy, but with 2-3 folks, it goes into place easily. Leveling the base and pillars seems to be quite important, as each pool fills up to almost the brim when running smoothly.. However, I had to persuade the person who delivered the very heavy cumbersome package it came in to use his dolly to place it on my deck. He wasn't going to do it!!!
