I love, love this fountain! The bases are wide and don't topple when, for example, a cat or squirrel jumps on. The 3 tiers are not physically attached, so there is a lot of freedom in how you can arrange them (you'll need help moving the lowest basin, but an adult male can handle the other pieces alone). Most pedestal fountains have a rubber gasket sealing the hole where the pump cord goes, but this has a hidden tube above the waterline to pass the power cord through, so no seal is needed. This made it easy for me to replace the pump with a solar-powered one. I am not a fan of resin, and I really appreciate the "real" look of the stone. I like it. Its burble is relaxing to listen to. Color-wise, it’s not quite what I expected. It’s lighter. Perhaps it will darken with age. Though it wasn’t hard to assemble, the instructions could have been clearer. On the plus side, the pump’s flow is adjustable and the light can be unplugged without affecting the pump. It is just as pictured only the color is different. It took 5 men to get it in place we have one spout that the water is not streaming from it’s the center top bowl and my guess is there could be a little more adjustment needed. This Del Rey fountain replicates the look of lead, iron, and concrete but is up to eighty percent lighter than traditional materials. Campania International suggests that fountain tops not be left outside in the winter. Once the top fills with water/snow and freezes, the top may crack.

It ended up being perfect for the spot. The finish gives it a patina that resembles a mix of sandstone meets oxidized copper. Pros extremely well made, solid, looks like it belongs in a European Mediterranean town. The pump is the perfect sizestrength to provide a pleasant steady stream. The sound is mesmerizing. There is an easy enough, but concealed opening in the back to allow for pumplight cords without having to do too many acrobatics. The shipping is so well protected it could probably be hurled from a plane and survive. Cons it’s delivered on a pallet and it either has to reach its final location in pieces or the opening has to be large enough where a pallet can fithand fork lift can easily access. The pieces are large and extremely heavy. This is not a 1-2 person operation. Expect some need of helpequipment to install it. The bottom basin is probably about 900-1000lbs. The two upper ones with the back was probably another 700lbs (which has to lifted to fit on top of the basin, which in turn is lifted over three separate pieces comprising the bottom-baselegs. You need to have a very clear and precise idea where it’s going because once it’s set down, it will be very difficult to move. The pump tubing requires a little effort to connect, but doable.
