The Dune folding chair, designed by Pascal Mourgue, is a testament to Fermob's unique skills and know-how. Two years of refinements were necessary to obtain the right level of tension in the fabric, and thus the optimum comfort levels offered today, which are exclusive to Fermob. In its 15-plus years, the Dune chair has kept its original shape but has in fact been totally transformed (no parts remain from the original model). Indeed, Dune continues to adapt and surprise, again and again! The stereo fabric has been developed exclusively for Fermob. The Surprising Teak Chair combines the sturdy construction of steel and the elegance of teak to add a soft, romantic flair to this modern design. In 2004, Fermob asked Frédéric Sofia to reinterpret the legendary chairs and armchairs of the Jardin du Luxembourg, created in 1923 in the Paris parks department workshops, and which Fermob still manufactures today for the city's public gardens. The result was a chair and armchair with distinctive lines and forms, combining the lightness and resistance of aluminum, the comfort of curved seat slats, and the practicality of a stackable frame.

We love this set! It's pretty and so comfortable that we don't feel the need for pillows, although you could easily add them if you like. They are also super light--easy to pick up and move around.
