Twice a year the frames should be washed with a solution of mild soap and water, and then a good quality automotive wax should be applied to the smooth surfaces. Use a clear liquid wax on all. Use a soft cloth and clean with a mixture of two tablespoons of mild liquid soap to one gallon of warm water. DO NOT USE solvents, janitorial cleaner, alcohol-based cleaners/protectants, scouring agents, bleach, gasoline, or ammonia-based cleaners. Use mild soap and water when cleaning a stone top. Rinse with clean water to remove soap residue. Dry thoroughly after cleaning. You are cleaning the stone sealer not the stone so do not use a petroleum-based or abrasive cleaner. Maintaining the sealer on the stone table is very important, therefore, cleaning your stove top on a regular basis will help aid in the longevity of the stone top. Spills should be cleaned immediately to prevent stains and/or damage to the top. Blot spills and rinses with clean water.
