The packaging was perfect and the shade was probably damaged before it was packed. Second, the paint which covers the dragonflies on the base looks very good when the base light is off, but looks thin and poorly applied when turned on. This is a stunningly beautiful table lamp. Thankfully it is slightly smaller than I had pictured it to be. It fits perfectly on our sofa table In the photo that I took, the glass appears to be warm colors, but in real life, the colors appear to be slightly cooler.
