Because of the glass piece and the weave of the light, it doesn't allow a ton of light out. I have this flush mount in a master closet with no natural lightening and it still feels dark even with bright white (5000kw) bulbs in. Overall it's just ok. It looks nice but functionally doesn't perform. I kept it since it was more work to return to Perigold/ Wayfair. I'll eventually replace it down the road with something better.
