Base is heavy, but piece itself is flimsy. Upper arm bends easily. Only takes a 40watt bulb..so not great for reading support. Pay attention to height as it is lower that typical floor lamps. One arrived damaged, and was replaced quickly.

It doesn’t exactly set straight. And it’s very small-scale, maximum bulb wattage is 40. But it did warm up the dark corner of our eclectic Dining Room. I could see it used as a piano light - off to the side, or maybe as a pair of lamps with a vignette of armchairs and a chess table. It arrived in tip-top shape, packaged well, and easy to set up (no assembly required other than figuring out how to put the lamp shade on. Do handle it delicately.
