The faux finish just looks...fake. It is too WHITE whereas in your photographs, the effect is much more subtle. In addition to the amateurish "faux" paint finish, the paper shade casts a very yellow glow which under other circumstances would be ideal but with such a WHITE lamp, it just looks like you sent the wrong shade. The shade is also larger and of a sightly different shape than the one in the photo. This is the second lamp I have gotten with shade issues...that it, the shade is larger and of a slightly different shape than the one in the photograph on your website. The previous shade was from Visual Comfort...I suppose both companies work out of China....and need to redouble their efforts in quality control. I am going to handle the appearance of the finish myself rather than pay shipping to return and again to replace. does not coordinte lamp
