The base of the lamp was glued together. I could see the metal through the lamp shade. I was disappointed and returned.

Love these lamps. Bought 2 for our living room. The base is beautiful, quite heavy and excellent quality. I took off one star for the lamp shades. The shades felt a bit flimsy and within 2 months one of the seams came apart. Will have to replace the shades but otherwise very happy with this purchase.
