The lamp is beautiful and very well made, but didn’t fit in my room. The gold is very bright and shiny, and I was looking for something more muted. It was difficult to tell from the picture if the gold is brushed or shiny. Also, the shade seemed a bit small for the size of the lamp. Smaller in person than it appears in the picture. If you are considering this lamp, make sure to consider the dimensions of the shade relative to your space; I wish I had and I could have saved $140 in return shipping.
