We get compliments from everyone who comes in the room! The light is definitely for ambiance only, as I was expecting since the bulb is shaded. It gives off the most beautiful golden glow.

This is a pretty sconce-- I like the look of the hammered metal. I took off one star because the color is closer to gold than brass. It's slightly yellow. Still this is a nice, well made sconce.
