We bought this fan to replace one in our bedroom that had carved wood arms and an integrated LED but hung too low. This fan is much better in that regard. The blades sit about six inches from the ceiling, which is close without hurting airflow. Any closer and efficiency would start to drop. The canister style design is still the highlight. The base is thick metal, feels very solid, and has a large internal cavity for the controller. That part feels like it will last forever. Installation is straightforward with a standard circular ceiling plate and three screws attaching the plate to the motor. It feels secure as long as the ceiling box is properly rated. Our previous fan had a more flexible mounting bracket that allowed attachment to a beam or backing board, which felt more robust, but this setup is still fine. The remote is nice and has satisfying rubbery buttons. The downsides are mostly material related. The light fixture and cover look and feel plasticky, which clashes with the heavy metal canister. The plywood blades also look cheap, with a fake wood laminate that feels dated. At least the thin flat blades will be easy to clean. Assuming it does not develop any wobble or noise over the next six months, I will be happy with it. Most of my complaints are subtle and probably things only I will notice, especially once the fan is running.

Very nice fan. I put the blades upside down so they’re showing the black but I like the option to turn them around and show the wood. The remote is helpful for turning the light on and off and the speeds of the fan

We bought this ceiling fan to replace an old out dated one. It’s been a great update. The fan moves air well and makes the porch more comfortable. Installation was straightforward and the remote handy. The fan enhances the look of the porch. The fan however is not dimmable the reason for the 4. Overall good quality ceiling fan with a contemporary and modern look.

I’m not sure if I got the right ceiling fan but I do like it. It looks a little different than the picture but it’s really nice. Very casual and looks perfect in my farm style house. The remote control feature is my favorite and the installation was very easy. This is a must buy
