The on-line purchasing process was amazingly fast and easy. The shipping experience was also fantastic, the package arrived w/in the expected window and was received in perfect condition. We had the sink professionally installed as the install required some granite cutting and grinding for a proper fit. The finished product is just what we were looking for, a clean modern look. The sink surface is easily cleaned with warm soap and water. To prevent scratches, we purchased two silicon bottom mats and they actually look pretty good. We did replace the included drain strainers as they looked cheap and distracted from the otherwise beautiful appearance of the Ruvati Sink. Its glazed surface inhibits bacterial growth more than stainless steel. It is eco-friendly requiring fewer cleansers. Made and hand-finished in Italy, each sink is unique. Due to the firing process, dimensions are nominal and may vary to actual up to .5". Custom cabinet or apron cabinet required. *A note about fireclay: small cracks will appear on the unglazed underside of the sink. Based on measurements of my counter space and granite setting, I couldn’t get an apron front or an undermount. This was a great alternative. I love the workstation and accessories offerings but I bought the Ruvati Accessories Multi-function Workstation Organizer and Caddy with Soap Dispenser and Knife Block because I thought it would work great. The caddy is very rigidly straight and the sink slopes in very slightly as you get deeper. Sad to say the caddy did not fit. We installed this 5 years ago on a remodel and had looked at the 9" depth in the store and decided on that one. We didn't realize right next to it was the 5" depth and when we went back to order at the plumbing store, accidentally just pointed the 5" depth out in a rush to get it ordered. When it arrived, the plumber pointed it out and said we would hate it and offered to return and reorder, but we had already waited 3 weeks for this one and were eager to be done with the remodel so we opted to keep it. We are 5 years in and wish we had paid more attention and listened to our plumber. The sink, while lovely and works, is not deep enough to counter splashing when washing hands, pots, etc. and so as a result the granite around the sink is already showing signs of hardwater stains that we will have to pay to have polished out.
