The walnut slotted knife block is a true design object that also happens to be practical. Made of gorgeous dark walnut wood. It holds up to 12 knives of up to 9.8" blade length. Fits even in smaller spaces thanks to its compact 5.4" square footprint.

FALSE ADVERTISING. May hold 12 STEAK knives, but can only hold 1 normal size kitchen knife per slot. Knives sit very loose either way. This product is under review from Wayfair for numerous people having the same issue. Do not buy. They attempted to charge me $15.00 to return ship the item. 20 Slots including space for eight steak knives, shears, and steel.

It is exactly what I expected pertaining to functionality. The size is excellent and I really have a few empty spaces. It gives the room/space between the knives and I was able to put all of my steak knives in the block. I gave 4 stars not 5 because of the color. It is not brown at all, it is beige or tan and the picture displays a varied brownish color. There are no variations and I hope that I can stain it so it would be darker. Overall, it is pretty but not what I prefer.. Gloria. Allendale, SC. Sat Nov 27 2021

Very happy with this purchase! We have a few Zwilling knives and some others and everything fits great. We also wanted to have room for steak knives and the bottom row is perfect for them. Quality construction and not a huge footprint on the countertop. Curved design instead of the usual boxy look. Highly recommend!. Diane. Toronto, ON. Thu Jun 11 2026

The WÜSTHOF 15-Slot Black Knife Block offers a safe and convenient way to store your knives and includes a slot for your honing steel and kitchen shears.

The overall design is questionable and reflects a lack of imagination. In particular, the slot for the scissors is very awkward, and removing the scissors when there are knives in the slots above and below it is, at best, annoying. Also, if it is more sanitary and better for retaining life sharpness for the slots to be horizontal, why are the steak knives slots at the bottom vertical? I have been a loyal Wusthof purchaser for decades, and this is my first major disappointment. Perhaps I will have to shop around and look for a replacement block? Lastly, when I tried to revise my review, your system would not let me change my initial selection!! Did not one quality check your software program? This is discouraging.. Idelle H.. A Magnetic Rack made of heat-treated beech with a magnetic strip for safe and decorative storage of the finest knives. Our magnetic strip offers clear advantages over conventional magnetic racks: on the one hand, the softer strip stops the blades from getting scratched on the stainless steel that is often used and, on the other, the entire length is magnetised. In addition, the use of heat-treated beech together with the dark adhesive strip is aesthetically pleasing.

This stylish knife block is crafted from natural bamboo, an attractive, durable wood that resists water penetration, staining, and knife scarring. Ideal for blades both big and small.

Overall an excellent block, particularly if you have multiple larger knives. Pros: Good looks. Quality wood (bamboo). Narrower than most blocks that hold similar amounts of knives. Fits more wide blades than typical. Cons: The opening for the honing steel is a bit small, and if your steel has a guard to protect your fingers, it may cover from 1-3 knife slots partially.
