I bought this butcher block to store my small collection of Wusthof knives. The wood is beautiful and the color variations only add to the beauty of the piece. Surprising all my knives fit perfectly.

It looks beautiful on the outside, but the inside is rough and stained our knives. These are the black professional Wusthof series too, so not a cheap set to ruin. But something about the finish inside permanently stained them and our other knives. You'll want to clean the inside out and then get mineral oil in the slots to prevent this.

We like the color of the finish. We have a collection of Global knives which fit just fine.

Opted for build a block. Very nice block. Larger than the one I was upgrading from. Although I like it fine, I should've opted for a bigger block.
