For perfect hygiene, you can simply remove the BPA-free bristle insert and tap out the dirt. A timeless design object for your kitchen counter. Have your favorite knives within arm's reach. Invisible magnetic strips securely hold up to 10 knives (9" max. blade length). Sanitary (unlike dropping the knives into the slots of conventional blocks). Solid ash wood, stainless steel base that will not scratch your counter.

20 Slots including space for eight steak knives, shears, and steel.

It is exactly what I expected pertaining to functionality. The size is excellent and I really have a few empty spaces. It gives the room/space between the knives and I was able to put all of my steak knives in the block. I gave 4 stars not 5 because of the color. It is not brown at all, it is beige or tan and the picture displays a varied brownish color. There are no variations and I hope that I can stain it so it would be darker. Overall, it is pretty but not what I prefer.. Gloria. Allendale, SC. Sat Nov 27 2021

Viking professional cutlery delivers uncompromising performance due to the exceptional balance between the blade and handle. These fully forged knives are constructed with an integrated tang and riveted pom handle. Forged from high-alloy steel to ensure sharpness, deliver edge retention and resist corrosion, designed for both home and professional use, Viking cutlery was created with the demands of a professional chef in mind. The ergonomically designed handles were developed with a focus on comfort and ease of use featuring exceptional balance so that they are as ergonomic as possible. With little to no weight on the upward lift, Viking professional cutlery is designed to be an extension of the hand and eliminate fatigue. The blades feature a 15-degree cutting edge that is heat hardened under inert gas to ensure strength and long life. The combination of the cutting edge angle and the Rockwell hardness of the steel create the perfect balance between edge retention and the ability to sharpen the blade. Viking professional cutlery is completely hygienic with no gaps between the blade and the handle. The bolster and integrated tang deliver stability and balance while protecting the user's hand from the blade. For best results, hone your blade with the Viking steel before each use. While the Viking knives are dishwasher safe, hand washing is highly recommended to extend the polish and longevity of your cutlery.

The WÜSTHOF 15-Slot Black Knife Block offers a safe and convenient way to store your knives and includes a slot for your honing steel and kitchen shears.

The overall design is questionable and reflects a lack of imagination. In particular, the slot for the scissors is very awkward, and removing the scissors when there are knives in the slots above and below it is, at best, annoying. Also, if it is more sanitary and better for retaining life sharpness for the slots to be horizontal, why are the steak knives slots at the bottom vertical? I have been a loyal Wusthof purchaser for decades, and this is my first major disappointment. Perhaps I will have to shop around and look for a replacement block? Lastly, when I tried to revise my review, your system would not let me change my initial selection!! Did not one quality check your software program? This is discouraging.. Idelle H.. (no knives included) Stay organized while maximizing counter space. The MIYABI 12-slot Bamboo Knife Block holds up to 10 knives with extra slots for a pair of scissors and sharpening steel. Keep all your kitchen essentials within reach for fast, efficient prep work. This stylish knife block is crafted from natural bamboo, an attractive, durable wood that resists water penetration, staining, and knife scarring. Ideal for blades both big and small.

Overall an excellent block, particularly if you have multiple larger knives. Pros: Good looks. Quality wood (bamboo). Narrower than most blocks that hold similar amounts of knives. Fits more wide blades than typical. Cons: The opening for the honing steel is a bit small, and if your steel has a guard to protect your fingers, it may cover from 1-3 knife slots partially. Longer base than many knife blocks.. Nick. Gaithersburg, MD. Tue Sep 06 2022
