The unique Inverted handles allow the roaster to fit into ovens with ease, minimizing space versus roasters with handles Extended outward. The Inverted handles also make the roaster ergonomically easier to put into and take out of the oven. The roaster can fit up to a 25 pound turkey and comes with a v-shaped, eternal non-stick cooking rack. The elevated rack helps cook food quicker and more evenly. The 3-ply stainless steel clad design combines three layers of metal to create one solid piece that is formed into the vessel. An induction capable stainless steel exterior is bonded to a layer of aluminum alloy and then finished with a final layer of high quality 18/8 stainless steel on the interior. The rack is big enough for a turkey and perfect for a roast. This pan comes with its own stainless steel rack with large easy-grip handles. It fits into any standard oven and it is stovetop and induction safe, which means gravies and sauces can be made from the drippings right in the pan!

More multi-purpose than they tell you! I use the pan all the time for roasting potatoes, tater tots and root veggies. Because of the high sides it has a higher roasting temp than a sheet pan, and so everythign roasts faster and crispier in the pan. As for chickens or other roasts, its nice and big and the handles make it easy to maneuver, and lift the roast from the pan without "roast breakage". Far better than aluminum, but I did notice the seal does fade and it can show exterior rust if you don't rub it with oil just before baking again to reseal. I had wanted to replace my old roasting pan for a while and when I saw Anolon had theirs on sale, I jumped on it. I have had my Anolon cookware for 27 years and they are still in near perfect condition. This roaster is of the same high quality craftsmanship. Do yourself a favor and pick one up.
