WÜSTHOF
WÜSTHOF’s Ikon Series- Handles made from durable African Blackwood, one of the hardest woods in the world. High carbon stainless steel precision blades, forged from a single blank. Triple-riveted full tangs, for precise control. A classic amongst the range of knives that belong in every kitchen: as well as bread, this knife is suitable for use on hard-skinned vegetables and fruit, as well as for roasts, especially those with crackling. The concave (inwardly curved), serrated edge of the knife works like the teeth of a saw, but is much finer, so no pressure is required to cut any sort of bread and even a hard crust will allow a clean cut. The small blunt section at the tip of the blade is designed for extra crusty loaves. As you slice down to the bottom of the loaf, simply lift the handle up and use the blunt tip to slice through the hard bottom crust.
Looked great. After comparing the ikon vs the classic ikon, opted for classic ikon for increased durability.. Ryan D.. Wed Dec 31 2025

WÜSTHOF's extra-sharp blade with a plain edge: this knife not only does a good beef steak justice, but also cuts all other types of meat without tearing the fibers. It should therefore always be on the table when meat is on the menu.
We got a knife set for our wedding. They are noticeably GREAT knives. A few of the handles chipped after almost 20 years. Your warranty replaced the knives for us. Thank you. Also, the new knives have a slightly different handle. Same shape and color, just a different material. A better more comfortable material. Has a great hand feel. Good work! Bottom line, really great knives.. Stephen S.. Tue Jul 28 2026

I have a lot of high- end knives and was debating on pulling the trigger on a Yani since I'm not a sushi chef or a pro but I've been mesmerized by this knife for a couple years. I'm so happy I got it, it's a work of art! I've used it to fillet a few fish I've caught and for slicing roasts and steaks, haven't noticed it " steering" me due to single bevel, it's so sharp and has perfect weight. Not a laser like a Yu so I've got more confidence if I'm cutting a rib roast or something with a bone-in. Beautiful work of functional art. Haven't had to sharpen yet but will definately do it myself, I'm confident in my ability to sharpen and not scratch it. It is one fine tool. BTW, it's not my most expensive knife. You only live once, may as well enjoy it.. Anthony Y.. Mon Feb 23 2026

We bought our first Wustof chef knife about 50 years. Our collection grew to about 5 knives, a cleaver, chef scissors, and a hone, and they are in use everyday. Recently, the handle broke on one of the newer ones and Wustof honored the lifetime warrantee without hesitation. We are glad we made the right decision to buy 50 years ago and look forward to using them well into the future.. Roland B.. Fri Aug 07 2026
